About I2.

Established in 2021

Independent Identity​ existed as a blog since 2007 by Phil Hunt. In 2000, work began on a new open source project called i2scim. In 2021, Independent Identity Incorporated was born.

I2 has 20+ years of experience building Identity Management products and services. This experience includes open source and industry collaboration to develop key industry standards such as OAuth2, OpenID, and SCIMv2 under the IETF and the OpenId Foundation.

Our Goal

To produce great Kubernetes enabled software providing scale, security and utility to application developers and service providers.
